Group Pilates Class
Build core strength, flexibility and excellent posture.
Mat Pilates is based on the original exercises Joseph Pilates developed to strengthen his own body as a very young man and then began teaching others. The Mat work came before any of the Pilates Apparatus (equipment) he developed. It includes over 500 exercises!
Mat work is a great choice for everyone from Pilates beginners to advanced students because the exercises not only can build in difficulty, but every exercise can be modified to decrease or increase the level of challenge for any age, body, or fitness level.
Expect a dynamic full body workout that will get your heart rate up with elements of Barre and yoga too. We will focus on alignment, breath and strength. You'll develop a firm, strong and more flexible body. As you progress in your practice you will notice improvements in breathing, focus, stress management, and body awareness.

Are there any contraindications or health risks?
Normal common sense contraindications apply: if you’re reeling from a virus, have just broken a bone, sprained a joint, or undergone surgery, I recommend you stay home and prioritise rest and healing. Beyond that, feel free to get in touch if you have any questions regarding a condition you have. When you come to class I invite you to tell me what injuries, aches and pains might be currently activated as that helps me to tailor my assistance to you.
Having such a good time at the Thursday Pilates classes! Great atmosphere and Emma is so helpful and fun. This is the most I’ve enjoyed exercising in a long time!
I've just completed a course of Pilates with Emma and have to say it was first class! I've been doing Pilates for years with different instructors, so much so that I'm a 'Pro Amateur'! Emma really strips it back and ensures you know what your doing, can see what your suppose to be doing and maximise the results of the workout. Can't ask for anything more and would definitely recommend the classes to others.
I have been taking Pilates with Emma for a few months, and just love them. She provides a challenging workout yet suitable for my level of fitness , she is honest, and knows how to motivate, and on top of all this there is a really wonderful atmosphere and environment. Couldn’t recommend Emma’s classes more!
I love the pilates classes and it is doing absolute wonder for my back – has been pain free since starting the classes and my lower back feels a lot stronger. Emma is a wonderful instructor, she explains the exercises very well and is attentive to all, to ensure we do the exercises correctly. This is a must when doing pilates and I really feel in good hands with Emma.
Really enjoy Emma ‘s classes. As a beginner, she really put me at ease and made me feel comfortable amongst the rest of the class. I regularly attend the Pilates classes and have found great benefit for a nagging back problem I’ve suffered from in the past. Pilates had definitely helped me with this. I’ve also attended the yoga class at times and found it a really enjoyable and tough workout.
Excellent alternative to your normal workout, would definitely recommend. Thanks Emma!
Really enjoyed your classes. Thanks Emma, you are amazing teacher
Great Pilates class, I am absolutely loving it. Emma is a brilliant teacher would definitely advise anyone to give it a go its a brilliant workout.
I just finished my course with Emma & I'm delighted with the course. She's a fantastic teacher! Can't wait to start my next course with her.
Emma's classes are brilliant; a must for anyone (experienced or complete beginner) looking to develop or improve strength, conditioning, flexibility, toning, & balance. One hour a week of Pilates classes are an excellent supplement for anyone involved in sports/training, and in my experience have reduced the chance of injury or strain & improved recovery time. No more back pain, bad knee strengthened, and great for maintaining the body as the years progress.
