Having required physio post-pregnancy, I found Emma's ability to adapt moves, and even recommendations for home practice, excellent. Emma has in-depth ante-natal and postpartum training so however pregnancy has affected you physically, she's probably heard of it and can help.

Emma is highly qualified, motivated, enthusiastic, encouraging, also regularly up-skilling, training and sharing her new knowledge or moves. I really feel the benefit for days afterwards!

I am delighted to launch my NEW Postnatal Pilates Course. Tuesdays 10am, to which new mums are welcome to bring their newborn to class (up to crawling only).
Even if you have maintained your fitness regime throughout your pregnancy, getting back your pre-baby physique can be a challenge. That's why I have tailored this Pilates course to new mothers who need a little more support getting back into exercise in the "4th trimester".

This progressive programme helps you to reconnect with your pelvic floor, regain tone in the abdominal muscles and improve posture to ease back pain. It is safe and helpful for those with Diastasis Recti.

Enjoy a combination of mat Pilates with the Theraband and magic circle and Barre exercises, selected for their benefit to women in the postnatal period, followed by a nice relaxation.

Learn how to sensibly regain your figure in the postnatal period and safely return to your pre-pregnancy fitness regime.

How soon you can join a class will depend on your delivery type – vaginal (after 6-8 weeks) or cesarean (after 10-12 weeks), subject to clearance by your GP or Physiotherapist. If you have prolapse, severe pelvic or back pain consult a physiotherapist prior to joining this course. Please contact me prior to booking if you need more advice.

I operate a busy Pilates studio where my classes are always in high demand. Before confirming your booking, please ensure you will be able to attend as I will not be able to facilitate refunds after the course has begun. €10 of the €60 fee is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation before the course commences.

Meet Emma:

I am Emma McAtasney, founder of a boutique Pilates studio in Dundalk, Ireland. BASI trained Pilates instructor, BarreConcept instructor and prenatal and postnatal exercise specialist.

I developed the Body After Baby Core Restore Programme with the aim of helping women with diastasis recti and pelvic floor issues get back into shape after pregnancy!
